I’m an worship leader, artist, and Disney fanatic!
I’m lifelong creative who loves finding beauty in the details. Whether I’m leading a congregation in worship, bringing a design to life, organizing a creative project, or dreaming up the next thing, I’m happiest when creativity and purpose come together.
Music and worship have always been an important part of my life, and as our youngest heads off to college, I’m stepping into a new season with a little more room to explore where God might lead next—especially through new opportunities to lead in worship and use the creative gifts He’s given me.
When I’m not creating or singing, you’ll probably find me spending time with my family, taking photos, planning our next adventure, or indulging my not-so-secret love of all things Disney.
WORSHIP LEADING
Worship has been a lifelong passion and pursuit for me. I love to sing, I love to worship, and I love helping others discover how they can use their own gifts to glorify God.
I have a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in vocal music from William Carey University and spent six years teaching show choir in south Mississippi. Through the years, I’ve continued leading adult, student, and children’s choirs, mentoring young vocalists, and serving alongside my husband in worship ministry.
Today, I regularly lead worship in our church, but I’m also prayerfully looking beyond its walls. I’m actively seeking opportunities to build a broader worship ministry—leading worship for churches, conferences, retreats, and other gatherings where I can help people encounter God through music.
For me, worship leadership has never simply been about singing. It’s about creating space for people to turn their attention toward God and helping others use their gifts to do the same.
CREATIVE LIFE
Where to start? I’ve never been the kind of creative person who sticks to just one thing. I love making things, and over the years that creativity has found its way into just about every part of my life.
I’m an artist and designer who enjoys painting, drawing, photography, graphic design, and just about any other creative medium I can get my hands on. I’ve designed book covers—including all of my husband’s—as well as countless graphics and other creative projects. I also love baking and cake decorating, especially when I have an excuse to make something a little over the top.
Professionally, I’m a Client Success Manager with Hook PR, where I work in project management and social media, helping keep creative projects, clients, and teams moving in the right direction.
Whether I’m working on a canvas, behind a camera, at a computer, in the kitchen, or dreaming up something entirely new, creating has always been part of who I am. I may work across a lot of different disciplines, but they all come from the same place: I simply love making beautiful things.
DISNEY FANATIC
My husband took me on my first Walt Disney World vacation for our fifth wedding anniversary. I was 26 years old the first time I rounded the corner of Main Street, U.S.A., saw Cinderella Castle, and cried. It was a place I had dreamed about since childhood but never really believed I would get to experience.
Since then, I’ve walked down Main Street many more times with my husband and our children—and I still get a little misty-eyed every time.
My love for Disney eventually led me to spend several years as a travel planner, helping other families plan their own magical vacations and create memories together. I’m no longer booking trips professionally, but that certainly hasn’t stopped me from being the resident Disney expert for our friends and family. If someone is headed to Disney, I’m always happy to help them plan, answer questions, offer recommendations, and make the most of every magical moment.
Disney has become part of our family story, and whether I’m planning another trip, following what’s new in the parks, or just dreaming about the next time I’ll walk down Main Street, that magic still hasn’t worn off.

MY MINISTRY
I grew up in a ministry family and have spent most of my adult life serving the church in one way or another—from worship and student ministry to teaching and lead pastoring. Through all of it, one passion has remained consistent: helping people discover their own journey and story with Jesus.
I’m a teacher at heart, with particular interests in theology, Christian apologetics, worldview, and discipleship. I earned my Master of Theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and my Doctor of Ministry from Anderson University, where my doctoral work explored how story can help us better understand the journey of discipleship.
Today, I serve as the Lead Pastor of Mt. Olive Church in Commerce, Georgia, where I focus heavily on biblical teaching, discipleship, and helping people find hope, grow together, and live sent. Whether I’m preaching, teaching, writing, or simply sitting across the table from someone, my goal is much the same: to help people discover what it means to follow Jesus and live out the story He is writing in their lives.
MY WRITING
I started writing when I was 11 years old. My first stories were video game fanfiction, which I attempted to write in King James English because, as far as I could tell, that was how people talked in fantasy worlds. From there I moved on to short stories, poetry, and the early beginnings of novels throughout high school and college. I never really stopped telling stories.
In 2010, I published my first novel, Winter, which eventually grew into a four-book supernatural fantasy series. Since then, I’ve published five novels along with several shorter works, and the Winter series has received multiple award nominations and wins. Along the way, writing has grown from something I simply loved doing into one of the central pursuits of my life.
And, in a wonderfully appropriate full-circle moment, one of my writing awards came from Wattpad for—you guessed it—video game fanfiction. Apparently eleven-year-old me was onto something after all.

MY CONTENT CREATION
There are 2.5 million concurrent users on Twitch at any given moment. The number of Christian content creators actively trying to engage the platform with a Gospel presence is in the double digits. With such a vast mission field and my life-long hobby of gaming, I have been entering the world of content creation. You’ll find me on several fronts.
First, I’m on Twitch as LegendOfZyro, where I stream primarily Legend of Zelda games and other story based games. While playing, I connect stories to God’s story and to the viewers’ stories.
Second, I have an alternate account on Twitch branded thewordcrafter. Here I do writing streams and productivity streams.
Third, I’m one of the founding members of DLC (Discover Life with Christ) a digital mission ministry. It’s still in the beginning stages and hasn’t fully launched yet.
